Club Achievements
Laochra Gael
The club has supplied many great players to county teams down through the years at all levels. However five players from the club deserve special mention having won all-Ireland medals with Tipperary at Senior level. First of the All Ireland medal winners with Tipperary were Johnny McGrath, a man of great hurling ability and a very imposing physical presence and Mick Burns, a tremendous wing back gifted with wonderful skill who holds 5 senior All Ireland medals. Next came John Heffernan a classy back whose motto was “thou shalt not pass” and Conor O Donovan a prince among Full Backs. Finally came Michael Cleary, a brilliant forward with dazzling ball skills which made him a four time All-Star.
