The Junior (A) Capped off a fine run in this years North Tipp Junior Championship with a victory last Sunday evening over old rivals Toomevara to add to the League Title won earlier. Nenagh have had an excellent run this year and will be hoping to keep it going in the County Championship. The game was an open but close game with both teams taking some really good scores in the first half.

Sean Healy opened the scoring with a well taken point and added a second not long after. Sean had an excellent first 30 minutes as did John Kennedy and David Hackett with John bagging 1-03 and David striking 0-03. Our back six looked strong and assured throughout the game with David Ryan and the the never say die Stevie Ryan who cleared a mountain of ball, Mark Flannery Billy Heffernan and Brian Fitzgibbon holding their line well and Lenny Ryan sweeping up at Full back .

The second half was a real struggle as the teams fought to gain the upper hand and swing the tie in their favour. The decisive moment of the game came when Willie Bulger was forced to make a brilliant double save, the second a save made with no thought for his own safety and an open goal at mercy. This spurred Nenagh on and finally broke Toom's spirit with David Hackett capitalising and scoring a fine Goal as did Sean Healy to top off a fine indivdual performance. We ran out eventual winners by 6 points Nenagh.
